The Sonnenhotel Soldanella-Sonneck in Samnaun is ideally situated. Very close to our hotel is the worldwide first, double-decker gondola cable car that transports 180 people at the same time to the ski resort. We also offer a complimentary ski bus transfer to the cable car. The access routes are cleared in winter, so that you need not fear any difficulties on arrival. A local bus station is situated within immediate vicinity of the hotel.
Getting here via Switzerland
Samnaun is reached by way of the Engadin road, via the Vereina Tunnel, in winter or the Flüela Pass in summer; take the Vinadi turn-off as far as Samnaun-
Vereina Tunnel – for a guaranteed through journey with the Rhätischen Bahn (motorail train) into the Lower Engadin.
Getting here via Austria
Coming from the Fern Pass continue to Imst in the direction of Bregenz, as far as Landeck, then take the turn-off to Meran - St. Moritz - Reschen Pass. Now continue on the Inntal road as far as Pfunds, taking the Kajetan Bridge turn-off and continue via Spiss to Samnaun.
Getting here via Arlberg
Coming from Lake Constance (Bodensee) continue past Bregenz in the direction of Landeck / Tyrol. Travel through the Arlberg Tunnel (or across the Arlberg Pass) as far as Landeck; then turn-off towards Meran – St. Moritz – Reschen Pass. Now continue on the Inntal road as far as Pfunds, taking the Kajetan Bridge turn-off and continue via Spiss to Samnaun.
Get to Samnaun faster
The Vereina line, the rail connection between Klosters and Lavin/Lower Engadin was constructed at the end of 1999. Thanks to the Vereina Tunnel, the journey time from Zürich to Samnaun by public transport was shortened by two hours. Transportation of your car by means of rail through the Vereina Tunnel creates a safe winter connection and you arrive in Samnaun much faster.
Local bus and ski bus
The local bus connects all localities within the Samnauntal community in summer. The ski bus operates in winter. Use of the local and ski bus is free of charge to guests visiting the Samnauntal.
