The mountains around our Sonnenhotel in Samnaun are predestined for a hiking holiday in Switzerland.
The tri-border region between Switzerland, Austria and Italy is a true paradise for hikers. A varied network of hiking trails consisting of 250 km of marked hiking trails is waiting to be explored by you. The uniform signposting on the hiking trails in the Samnaun Valley and throughout the Engadine ensures unlimited hiking pleasure and easy orientation. Hiking maps and plant guides are available from the guest information desk. Discover the colorful flora and fauna of the Engadin and be impressed by the sight of the majestic mountains.

ALPENQUELL ADVENTURE BATH
The Alpenquell adventure pool in Samnaun-Compatsch has a variety that leaves nothing to be desired. The focus is on the multi-purpose pool for swimmers and non-swimmers with a water surface of 187 m².
The adventure pool with bubble loungers, waterfall, cold water pool, children's paddling pool, eucalyptus steam cabin and whirlpool (hot swirl pool).
The offer is rounded off with sunbeds, open-air areas and a snack corner. SaunaWorld with a Finnish sauna, a Swiss stone pine organic sauna, an infrared sauna and a large steam bath.
You can relax between the sauna sessions in the relaxation room with a breathtaking panoramic view of the Samnaun mountains.
MOUNTAIN RAILWAYS SAMNAUN
45 lifts take piste athletes to the winter fun. The total length of all tracks is 59,151 meters - in one direction. Because all trains go up and down, the result is about twice as much. And all of the systems together overcome a height of 15 kilometers and 822 meters.
The Samnaun double-decker cable car was the first cable car in the world to use double-decker cabins. The cabins each hold 180 people, 114 people on the lower floor and 65 people, as well as the cabin attendant, on the upper floor. A fully occupied cabin weighs 27 tons.
The double-decker lift is the fastest lift in the Samnaun / Ischgl ski area, it runs at up to 10 meters per second, which corresponds to 36 km / h.

Great playgrounds guarantee fun for children and young people
There are numerous great playgrounds to discover around our Sonnenhotel in Samnaun. One of them is the Piz for Kidz adventure playground. Play hill, climbing wall, marmot cave, alpine hut and sand avalanches make children's hearts beat faster. On the play mountains, children and young people can find out all sorts of interesting facts about marmots (crawling tunnels), winter dangers (avalanche slopes) and climbing techniques (knotted rope).
Sport, sport, sport
On a family holiday in Samnaun you have the choice between numerous sports that you can practice here in summer. Hiking, mountain biking, horse riding, playing tennis and much more guarantee fun for the whole family. In the family climbing and bouldering park on Alp Trida, 9 boulders and a climbing rock await you, each of which can be conquered on many different routes - an ideal terrain for beginners and professionals. If that's not enough for you, you can have fun on the two via ferratas on the Flimspitz and Greitspitz. There are other attractions in the vicinity of the climbing park: Monster scooters are available for rent, which are ideal for the rapid descent of the two flow trails from the Viderjoch and Alp Trider Sattel.
